Information about the Sydvestjysk 5-Days
For a long time the number of participants was around 60, but fortunately this has increased in the past week to 90-130 starters each day.
We had of course hoped for more, and because of the small numbers we are reducing the start period for each race from 2 hours to 1. If you have a reason such as looking after children or shadowing a child, which makes it impossible for you to start within the new period, please ask the start officials for a later start time.
Final details will appear on the website shortly.
Kind regards

Are you ready?
Invitation and registration form is now ready. Note there is a discount on the payment if you sign up before 15th April 2010.

Nymindegab
The Event Centre is in the village of Nymindegab, situated close to the North Sea and Denmark’s most beautiful beaches.
Tourists from many countries come to the area, attracted by the rugged countryside where the sea and beach merge with dunes, heather and forest.
Event Centre
Training
Enjoy traning around Nymindegab Camp and the adjoining plantation Gødel Bjerge. The camp is the training centre for the Danish Home Guard and will be the Championships Event Centre.
Sprint
Enjoy a fun and intense citysprint in the old town off Varde.
Middle Distance
The red deer reserve in Kærgård is the setting for a technically demanding middle distance race. Skills in fine orienteering will be well tested in the open dunes with extensive contour detail, which alternates with dense coniferous forest.
Relay
The relay will be held in Nyminde just south of the Event Centre: high quality terrain never used before for orienteering.
Seminar
Theme: Protect – Utilise – Balance
The balance between utilisation and protection is always topical and important. Getting the balance right must be achieved on the basis of knowledge rather than feelings and prejudices.
The most recent Danish research in this area will therefore be presented.
The seminar will be rounded off by a panel debate with opportunities for contributions from the hall.
